I was also really surprised, because I showed up expecting the Chev springs to be really stiff, and they weren't too bad. not as loose as my old '65 C-10, but not as hard as my 'Cruiser. I'll see how shocks will eventually change this.

thanks again, everyone.

Just passed smog Wednesday, seller scanned a copy and sent it to me.

Warning-
My friend bought this rig a week ago and we made her return it. Be careful the steering is hideious loose, stripped tie rods loose adjusters, bad front main seal leaking tons of oil, both motor mounts broken. I can't belive it legiitmately passed smog. Wouldn't idle. had manifold exhaust leaks that filled the cab with exhaust. Had 1 shock out of 4, all the spring bolts are the wrong diameter. I say stay away unless you want a buggy. I wouldn't let anybody I care about drive that thing. Sorry to be a buzz kill but thought you should know.

Wow, thanks for the info.
guess I'm back to searching.

A bit of news here; turns out my employer is in the process of trying to get rid of me, in the spineless, reduce my hours to a mere pittance and shake me loose way, so I'll be best holding off on getting a truck until I get a new job, preferably for an organization I respect...

Everyone, your help in this truck pursuit has been both amazing, and appreciated, and I will call upon your collective knowledge in the future when I can actually afford to replace my deathtrap car.

I'm pm'ing you Jeff's contact info. Let me know if you decide to make a trip out here, as since we're planning to try to make it up there for this week's meeting, we could try to meet up first so I have an idea of what you're in the market for and can try to help you out. :wrench:
