That's right 1/4 million!!! Pretty exciting stuff. I had to pull over and grab a pic. Pretty crappy pic but you get the idea. I am hoping for another 1/4 mil.

Very cool!

 Congrats!! I hope you get the next 1/4 mill. out of your cruiser. Is that all on the original 2F or has there been a rebuild. I'm curious as to how long a well taken care of 2F will actually last?

Good question since the majority of 2Fs have not been well taken care of. I have a very strong one in my FJ60 and it runs like new with 210K. I do use about 1 quart between oil changes so it may be starting to show it's age. I do feel that 300k is in easy reach.

Old L.C. geezer rule of thumb:
Valve job every 100K, rebuild every 250K.
I'm driving my second 2F rebuild now...

s***BALLS! Very cool. I'm almost there. Got just over 30K to go for my engine AND tranny

Thats cool....at the rate I drive mine I will be 117 years old when I reach 250K :grinpimp:

geesh, I'm 4 valve jobs behind !
and comming up due on the 2nd rebuild it hasn't had . . .

422,100 miles a/o this morn. orig engine, tranny, etc...
It runs pretty danged good

I'd rather rebuild an engine a few miles too soon than half a mile too late...

Holy crap! I'm a greenhorn then because mine only has 93,xxx miles. I've got alot of driving to do!!!

Mines got 222,000+ on it, its been reringed (i think, my dad doesnt remember all the work hes had done) and has a fresh water pump and cam. Rear main has been replaced a time or two also, but otherwise stock. Oh, and after the lift/new tires i still get 14 mpg, so i figure its got a long ass life ahead of it.

"I love what ya do for meeeeee, TOY-YOTA!"

Bought mine w/ 119k on the clock, That was in 11/02. PO averaged 550mi a month. I'm puttin' 1,100mi + a month as a DD.

I might even manage 250k + out of my 2f, if only I can gather the courage to replace the manifold gasket(fear bustin' a bolt and can't afford any down time :o ).

Prosit, GC!

Sorry to disappoint, but the 2F was yanked almost a year ago. I bought the 60 for $1K knowing that it had sat for almost 4 years. I did not care about the motor as I had a plan for it and it did not include the 2F. Besides, it had 232,750 miles. Pretty good life for a 2F.
But when I bought it, I got it running and drove it 80+ miles. It burned a quart of oil in that little adventure so I did not feel too bad about yankin' the motor out.
So, for the last 17,250 miles I have been running a Cummins 4BT. All this in 11 months! It's actually more like 20K miles as my odometer is off. From what Cummins has told me and through talking to others, the 4BT should last me around 400K miles if well taken care of. Since, it's got about 100K on it right now, I figure the 60 should see over 1/2 million.

Kudos to those who are still truckin' on the old 2F. I also have a beater FJ62 with 273K miles. Runs like a champ! I'd hop in it right now and drive it anywhere. I expect over 300K on that motor.
