My 91FJ80 keeps blowing turn signal fuses and at the same time thay started happening I had to start pushing the shift over ride button to go from park to drive. Any thougjts on what could be causing this?

Toyota is known for linking two systems together to alert you about a problem with the other but I've never known those two to be connected.
I would think you you have a short in the blinker/turn signal by some wires to the brake system due to those being closer related. Most have a safety switch to shift out of park you have to have your foot on the brake. Turn and brake electric is linked.

Have you smashed some thing like a tail light or pulled or ripped you trailer lighting wires? This would be where I would start. follow each wire looking for a ware area. Let us know what you find.

Im having this SAME exact issue!!!!!!!!! WTF....

I have a 1997 Toyota LC, The shifter had alot of trouble going out of park so I just taped down the override underneath & after that the turn signal fuse keeps blowing.

Did you ever find a fix to this?? ORRR did you find a fix for the shifter as well????

I need some advice on this its extremely annoying.

If you have a trailer harness, inspect for shorts.
The shift lock solenoid is controled by 3 circuits and it also runs the key lock for the ignition switch.

CIG fuse
STOP fuse
ECU-IG fuse

If your STOP lamp fuse is blown it won't know you've stepped on the brake to energize the solenoid and release the shift lock.
