I'm a newbie when it comes to these modern vehicles.
I have a 2013 200 series andand I noticed driving on Forest roads that are heavily corrugated or rough the truck doesn't feel right it doesn't feel like driving my 60 series on the same type of Road.
Kind of feels like it's pulling in all different directions.

Returning traction control in these conditions be advised ?

thank you

Only time I turn traction control off is if I get stuck (or think It likely I could get stuck).

Are you getting any warning lights or warning beeps while traveling down these rough roads? If so, you can disable the traction control by coming to a stop and holding the traction control button down for a few seconds. You can also lock the center diff and that will disable most of the safety systems.

200 series should handle washboard roads much better than a 60 series.

I turn traction control off when I go wheeling. I came from not having any tech as well, and it felt weird having it intervene and cut power and pull when I wasn't used to it. There's time I leave it on as well as I've learned to get used to it.

What tires? What type? What size? What pressure?

I almost always drive the car in low range when off-road. Unless I'm hitting some higher speed washes or power line runs. I don't particularly notice traction control impeding.

If I do come upon softer stuff like sand, I hit the center diff lock on the fly. Instant traction control off and easy to power out of things.

I try to remember to turn off the traction control for water crossings and mud but those are the only times. Not much worse than scratching for traction halfway across water and hearing the dreaded beep beep.

You'll know for sure when traction control kicks in. I drive probably half of the time on dirt roads including some rough forest roads and haven't had it happen. I've experienced it in snow/ice. I don't see any reason to turn it off unless extreme conditions merit it.

I upgraded my suspension recently and it tamed a lot of unpleasant behavior on dirt. My 100k mile suspension was tired.

I suspect it’s not traction control or stability control but rather tired shocks/suspension that‘s giving you the every which way floaty feel. Get new OEM or something different based on your overall needs and I’m guessing it will feel more planted.

I turn it off when going off-road/4x4 trail, to see how the tires are doing in the snow, etc. I want to feel when a wheel slips when I'm in those conditions. Do what is best for you, your experience, your tires, the weather, and the roads you are on. The system does work well especially on pavement.

I leave it on. I do air down a little, instead of 48 they are 38.

The traction control works quiet well, I came around a dirt road curve to the right and just the front left brake was applied automatically, stopping the drift.
I went back to check and sure enough I could see that only that wheel went into a skid.

When my LX hits a dip on a turn sometimes it beeps. Is this due to traction control kicking in? TIA

Yes. It's usually a beep beep. If it's more intrusive than what seems reasonable, or if you did any lift, alignment, or suspension work recently, it's likely that the traction control system needs to be zero point calibrated.
