just heard back from turbo glide. Turns out the 1HZ kit comes with a GT28 and is even a little less than the quote i pulled from the site (!). This is looking like a nice option, high quailty turbo with flexibility I need for my irregular application.

But is anyone familiar with company? I am always wary of getting involved with companies so far away with out any feedback, especially for something of this cost. anybody?

i saw that post but there wasn't a lot of feedback and it was for a 2H kit.

The two aussie guys who responded to my question seemed to be talking about the company and not the specific kit. It may be worth talking with them about it as it seems they have some specific issues with TurboGlide.

"The company is about 50kms from me. I would buy an AXT"

"IMO Turboglide are not worth the money. They are indeed easy to fit but don't offer the performance of other kits."

I pm'd this person about that remark. maybe they can elaborate a little.

The kit not being worth the money doesn't seem to make sense. It is cheaper than any other non-intercooled kit I have seen. Regarding its performance, the numbers posted on the site don't necessarily reflect the true output figures, and that goes for any kit. But what the turboglide kit seems to offer that the other kits do not, is flexibilty.

I am not trying to rag on anyone here, just trying to get info on the company to make sure they are legit and to see if anyone has any experience with their kits.

thanks!

Ok youv'e sweated enough.THis is my personal opinion only. The quality of parts are fine, they state what brands they use.I just don't like their fitting eg I saw a recent job done and they used plastic hose to return the oil back to the sump which terminates at a plug which is pushed in after a hole is made by a punch.I had the injectors done about 2yrs ago by them and needed to go elseware to have tappets redone. As I said the product is fine, there is a lot of turboglide turbo's around locally. If you do a quality fit yourself which you will then they should be in the race.I will put a face to your order if you like as they are only 30mls away

I just got ur pm, thanks for the info. I am not planning on ordering until later this fall just trying to do some research. I will ask them for more info regarding the fittings and materials to see what exactly they offer for the 1HZ. If I need to modify some aspects of the kit (like the oil return as you mention) that is fine. I think I could probaly come up with a new method on install.

Any pics would be great if it ins't too much trouble. Thanks again for the feedback!
