I've been reading up on the Safari Turbo for the 1FZFE (see link below)

http://www.airpowersystems.com.au/safari/turbo/1fzfe_80/1fzfe_int_turbo.html

and it really upsets me that this is no longer available for our rigs (unless you order a minimum of 25 turbo kits).

I am hoping that eventually a turbo kit becomes available by someone, and when it does, I'll be ready.

In the meantime, I am reaching out to others on the board (like turbocruiser) who may have their rigs turbocharged to share their experience with the rest of the group. I am not afraid of the cost of the Turbo, but I am afraid to install something on my rig that the components (radiator, transmission, axle, etc...) are just not engineered to handle.

For anyone out there who has their rig turbo'ed, please share with us your observations regarding long term reliability. Has anything broke yet? Have you noticed a change in fuel economy, how about coolant temps? Overall do you think it was worth the cost?

Also, does anyone even know how much Safari was selling their kit for (back when it was available)?

Bruiser, i'm also interested in a turbo, but i think this has been discussed many, many times. If you do a search you should find all you need to know about turbos and turbos vs. superchargers.

X 20?

i'm pretty sure that you've been warned at least a million times not to exaggerate... :flipoff2:
