Anyone know the measurement on the 90 degree hose that returns oil from the turbo?

mine is seeping.

no, scratch that. Mine is oooozing. It passed by seeping sometime last week.

I don't want to pull it off to size it as I fear it'll never go back on and/or disintegrate if I mess with it. It's pretty big... 1.5" or so? Not really sure.

Any help is welcome. I plan to replace with bulk radiator hose. Any worries with that? Can't call Toyota until the 4th of January and would rather fix it this week.

I don't think radiator hose will work. The oil coming out of the turbo is a lot hotter than the water flowing in radiator hoses. I think you'll need a high temp hydraulic hose or something similar.

I used 3/4" ID hydraulic suction hose on my T3 turbo install. That's about the same size as most stock T3 drain tubes.

FWIW, most stock turbo drain tubes are made out of metal. They often look like a corrugated gas line for a cook stove, dryer or other home appliance.

thanks for the info!

Mine is definitely not metal. Your observation about the need for oil resistant and heat resistant tubing might explain why mine is falling apart...

Anyone out there with an hd-t that can snap a photo or offer comment?

ok from memory the other day when i had to get a new hose for my ct26 to garrett conversion i went to the local hose shop to get a 90 degree fitting to go from my old oil return which was 21mm from memory to 19mm for the garrett turbo. any way 21mm i think is what you are after. best thing to do is go to toyota and by one as the hose is preformed with a curve in it. i think the 21mm was internal measurement by the way

thanks ledgend80, all the big stores (inc Toyota) are closed in Costa Rica until 2010, so I was hoping to get something generic. Looks like I"ll just wait till the new year.

I found the part number for Toyota ( 90910-05206 ) by the way, in case someone else stumbles on this thread. ToyoDIY seems to think it is a $5 hose.

... and Toyota Costa Rica agrees, it was really cheap to go OEM. Less than $5.
