I currently have a 1992 PZ77 RHD JDM that i am using as my daily driver and building as an expedition truck. I am looking for a manifold to turbo the PZ and was wondering if anyone had any leads. i have been working with a few LC specialists, but we have had little luck tracking one down. I'm in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan - Canada.

Any suggestions or a dusty one sitting in your garage you would like to get rid of?

A customer of mine put a turbo on his PZ a few years ago. I'll take a closer look and see what he did. I'm pretty sure he didn't buy a turbo manifold so he must have modded his or built an elbow

I have a PZ motor here and I'm still thinking about putting it in my FJ40 so I'm curious what he did as well

Depends on what turbo you want to run
You can buy adapters...
Wayne has a thread that he turboed his
Clinton was the other fellow in van that turbod his.

what turbo you using?

looking through old threads here and not coming up with much. left to my own devices id probably go with a turbo from a 2.0 petrol engine, thinking that might suit.

ive seen brand new ihi and kkk turbos go for 50 bux or so on ebay.
if you look hard enough they are there. - if i just knew what i was looking for.

a member on here, Biffs i think, installed a CT26 from a 1hz. if i remember right he sourced a 1hdt manifold, cut the flange off and welded it to the pz manifold.
potentially you could use a 1hd-t manifold and cut the 6th port off, then weld it shut.

I built a Turbo Manifold for a Mate. used pipe "Ts" & pipe elbows, don't have any Pix's.
Just remember to make the drain pipe as big as possable, to small and the oil can not drain away fast enough ( I know :o) and oil entering the sump has to be above the high oil level mark.

AXT use to have a 1PZ manifold on their site, not sure if its still there.

We supply the Australian Denco turbo systems for both the PZJ7x and the HZJ7x models... just did an install on a PZJ77 and it completely transforms the vehicle.

If you want to buy a good quality system with matched parts that properly bolt in to place with little hassle, then contact us as we can get one coming for you.

We do not sell the manifold separately, sorry.

John, you are sounding like a salesman ...
yes, the Denco is a nice system. If you want a bolt on kit then that would be the one i would run.
I make an adapter that goes from the stock manifold to a Garrett turbo. I have installed about a dozen of them now. seem to work fine. sadly i don't make them to sell.
i will tell you from experience, if you try and save a few bucks you can also have more headaches. if you are building an expedition rig then you want a system that will stand the test of time AND you want a new turbo. you don't want to be sticking a junk-yard turbo onto a rig that might or might not take you where you want to go AND BRING YOU HOME AGAIN.

just my opinion ...
