Its a pretty easy conversion. If you have the workshop manual for the surf/hilux truck you can figure it out. I just did it last year and it was easier then it seems at first. Best mod ever though!

Im pretty sure i have the link printed off, if anyone is still interest i could scan them and put it back up.

me by the scan too much interested, I will now repair your hilux which has 2L + turbo and intercooler and I've got a very good feeling. in the second lux I 1KZ-TE including a machine that's another story. I would like to put 2L remake chance so we'll see. but it is true that in large scale than standard hilux

This guy has a write up too, which also links back to that original post. http://www.4wdaction.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=72&t=141285

I'm picking up a 2.8 dual cab next week and I'm thinking about dropping in a turbo setup from a 2L-t once I get it baselined. If I go ahead with it I'll try document it on here.

Hey Guys yes the article has been down for a number of years but I finally got around to reposting it and this time I posted it to our facebook page for longevity. Here is the new link:

A decade later and this still has value, please repost again somewhere permanent!

Ditto. The FB post/page seems to be gone too.

I eventually want to turbo my '98 Hilux with the 3 liter 5L engine (manual trans).
