All the manifolds that I've seen from Australia have the turbo hanging under the main runner and require an integrated waste gate. Good luck getting one of those in there. Safari and AVO both have custom castings to get it to fit. When I looked into an integrated setup there was no way to physically get it to fit with a traditional down pipe.
The manifold in question is a highmount. Although i have only seen pics of it and can only imagine where everything would be in my engine bay it looks like the turbo would be clear of everything and easily accessible. I would guess that internal wastegate wouldnt be a problem.
The manifold is cast and looks good. If anyone is interested in getting one drop me an email. cost and availablility date arent locked in yet but more people wanting one gets them here sooner. Cost i believe will be less than $700. Not sure on the pic posting process here. will check it out and post pics later if it isnt too hard.
Once i finish gathering info on what works and what doesnt i will be fitting a turbo system to my 1fz-fe. I am happy to share info.
Once the process is done i would consider making up a kit (or number of kits based on performance level desired). This wont happen before end of January as most of my development stuff wont happen until after christmas. Any kits/recipes i develop will be using standard engine management computer or maybe a unichip piggyback. Aftermarket (haltech, wolf, autronic etc) are expensive and unless you want lots of power are unnecessary.
