1HD-T and -FT rigs have the "Turbo" light on the dash for overboost of the stock turbo (others may have this too). For those with aftermarket turbos and running boost beyond the "max" setting the light comes on too soon, and perhaps becomes more of an annoyance instead of an actual feedback device.

The light works as a NC circuit, with the factory sensor providing ground to the light in the cluster and becomes open when a set boost point is reached; as far as I know there is no simple way to adjust the factory set limit. The sensor is either on or off.

With an aftermarket solution, you can adjust the limit with a simple screwdriver. In my view, even if you have a boost gauge, having the idiot light actually set for your own personal overboost limit I see as a positive and a good use of an OEM feature.

Here is one solution, an actual Hobbs switch which needs a 1/8" NPT tap in your intake.

A more simple solution which taps into a boost line, can be mounted anywhere, and uses spade connectors. I think I may go down this path.

Has anyone installed a Hobbs Switch which has adjustable trigger for turning on their overboost light? If so, has it met expectations?

Boost switch arrived. Bench tested it with my bike pump, and indeed it has both NO and NC setup, so can be used easily with our trucks. Will be simple to place it anywhere in the engine compartment, and plumb a vac/boost line. It is a very small package, basically a 1" cube.

So, how do you adjust it? You're basically just recalibrating the dash light?
