Just a general question on how frequent should a tune up be done (even when the car runs just fine) and what's typically involved for a 100 series?
I guess this would be more of a preventative maintenance. Also not sure how often the spark plugs should be replaced if not experiencing any issues.

I would follow your general maintenance guideline.

Air filter 15-30k
Fluids 5, 10, 30, 60k intervals
Spark plus every 100k per owners manual if iridium used
Coil Packs when needed (or go down the rabbit hole of the coil pack threads)
Clean TB 30k or so
Clean MAF 30k or so
Run some fuel system cleaner through 15-30k or so
Fuel filter...100k? Mine was original at 180k.

The maintenance schedule and what is done at each interval is in the owner's manual or online at the toyota owner's site.
But in 'dis here parts we all know better than Mr. T ....

1. We rip out AHC just to get a lift
2. We install KO2s on mall cruisers
3. We put our faith in aftermarket front axles
4. We install snorkels yet avoid water that is more than 4" deep
5. We install kW of extra lighting to ensure we can be seen from space, even in the evenings

You forgot the first step to cruiser ownership: Take off the running boards and post on the forum how you threw away that donut thing hanging down from the frame aint no way that was important.

I thought the first step to cruiser ownership was to change your heater tees. At least that's what I've heard incessantly.

@landarcht in all seriousness, if you follow the maintenance schedule, you should be in great shape. Doing that would be maintaining the vehicle even though it might be running well so that it continues to run well. So, it's preventative maintenance like you mentioned.

7. K&N air filter
8. Chinese knock off Tesla touchscreen
9. Armor all the way around and winch
10. Throwaway K&N air filter and replace with OEM
11. Throwaway Tesla touchscreen and pray you kept your factory unit
12. Heater T's
13. Roof top tent for the mall and backup home after blowing rent money on roof top tent and other accesories
14. Water filtration system and outdoor kitchen because you're now living down by the river
15. Sell Cruiser to get back to civilization
16. Buy another Cruiser and repeat steps 1-15 because you have a short memory and romanticize of how awesome it was to own a Cruiser
