First post on this forum. I know, in advance, that I will need my flame suit around here, but I wanted to share a picture of my LC 200 series with Tundra TSS 20" wheels. I picked these up on ebay for a price I could not pass up. My offroading consists of basic country back roads and beach driving, we shall see if I have issues with the smaller tires. I really like the way it looks and after about 100 miles I haven't noticed any decrease in ride quality.

I haven't found a lot of info on these wheels. I bought them from a Toyota dealer, they told me they were take-offs from a 2017 Tundra TSS Special Edition. Toyota's website doesn't seem to have any info on them and they are definitely not standard equipment. The tires are from 2015 so not so sure how these could come off a 2017...

The TSS package is not a factory-backed endeavor. It's a creation of Gulf States Toyota, the regional distributor that acts as the broker between Toyota and the dealers. It's effectively a way to add margin to the vehicles by installing aftermarket accessories prior to delivery to the dealer. The parts are installed, the car has another few thousand added to it, an updated Monroney is printed, and then its shipped to the dealer.

Southeast Toyota another distributor that devises their own option packages, and they love putting Rockstar wheels on vehicles. They put on wheels, tires, black out some badges, add some stickers, and mark up Tacomas five grand.

They are called a Port Option. I have the T Force wheels for mine. They are sold in gulf states.

2 distributors (gulf state area) of the 11 in the US have a different parts catalog due to them being privately owned or non-corporate owned. Or so I was told by a dealership parts counter in Florida.

Anyway - point is, those dealers have a few different wheel and sticker options than the rest of them.

So I took the LC to my local Toyota dealer to try and register the TPMS.

They told me it could not be done, something about the wheel requiring a 8 digit pin and the LC using a 7 digit pin.

They also told me the wheels were aftermarket and told me that the TPMS wouldn't work on a Tundra either. Both of which statements are incorrect, see the port-option thread above, and the fact that the dealer I bought the wheels from showed me the TPMS working on the brand new Tundra before they took them off.

Can anybody confirm the 7 vs 8 digit thing? The LC is a 2013 and I believe the wheels are from a 2017.

I ran into the same issue when switching to rock warrior wheels.

Discount tire didn't have any issues with TPMS when I change from my RW's and TForce wheels. I do it a couple times a year. Never heard of the 7-8 digit thing.

RW's have factory sensors and the TForce have aftermarket sensors from discount tire.

My local discount couldn't program toyota sensors, granted I am in a small town.

I got new sensors.

They did have to use the 08-11 programming for my 2014. For some reason the 13-15 programming wouldn't work.

I spoke w/ the dealer in Dallas who sold me the wheels. Here was his response:

Unfortunately the sensors in those wheels are for a Tundra. The Land Cruiser uses a different sensor. You'll need part number 42607-33011.

The TSS package is a regional package available through dealers in the Gulf States Toyota (GST) region.. Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Mississippi. Southeastern Toyota (SET) also has regional packages they call XSP and XSP-X. The person you spoke to at your local dealer might just not be familiar with the regional packages

Looks GREAT!!
