nice rig, cool video's...........must be easy to find replacement parts:D

I had an awesome day out at the Austalian 4x4 masters only breakages were a broken front shaft on my 1st stage due to not giving it enough numbers over the 100 point obstacle then i rolled a tyre of the bead in my 5th stage at the 90 point marker but still made it over the finish line then we put another tyre on so the navi could drive the last stage "mandatory" it was like watching a horse bucking a stranger of it's back he didn't even get to the 10 point marker before flopping it on to it's side  to my amazement there was bugger all damage only a slightly bent front fender and a ding in the roof but they wouldn't let me finish the stage  .
Here is most of my drives they all have good parts in them as i was going pretty hard all day, if you wonder why i'm sitting there doing nothing sometimes it's because i'm only allowed a certain distance in front of my team mate and had to wait for him.

Hi All:

Mick, great thread!

You need some more aggressive tires like your mate has! Get some 'Swampers or some Simex tires!

Thanks for sharing with us!

Regards,

Alan

Well i finally got some more aggresive rubber, Maxxis comp spec sticky trepadores 37'' x 12.5'' hopefully they are as good as everybody says they are. I'm competing again this weekend, i'll be sure to put them to the test ;).

Took some pics while i was doing some work on it after round 1 at the 4x4 masters.

This is the repaired drive shaft after stage 1 worked a treat for the rest of the day, it had to be heavily bashed over the old drive shaft after it was welded up, then welded the square tube to the shaft and hammered in some rod in the corners to help lock it in weld weld job done

The tie rod had seen better days but didn't let me down.

I installed the spare one i had today, it was made using an old tie rod cut the ends off with the 60mm of thread on them then pressed them into some extra heavy duty tube using a 25t press "it was a 25t crane but....." once pressed in weld weld.

The diff protector has been loving life on the front diff

it actually has bent in the centre at the top 1 or 2mm not bad for 12mm plate steel.

Here is worst of the damage from the roll over, if that big sign post was not there i think we would have kept rolling.
