Anyone know who this is? I drove by a couple of times and saw two 60s next to each other in this guy's driveway. Yesterday I decided to loop around for a closer look and discovered there are actually three 60s, two 55s and something I couldn't identify hiding behind all the other stuff. I know there are some who choose not to participate in the forum community, but on the chance this guy is lurking - nice collection!

Not on the forum - a thought

I saw a guy with an expedition built 60 at Pep Boys about 2 months ago. He had never heard of the group. Might be a handy thing to put together a AZ Copper Cruisers business card with the web site info on it - so that you can hand out to the guy who catches you snapping pics of his rig! :)

I've seen a few 40's and a 55 Pima/Country Club area.

I talked to a kid who was driving a 40 he just bought, at the corner of Ina/Thornydale. I had just pulled in there in my 40.

He knew very little about the vehicle, except that it had a 350 in it, and the 4wd didn't work. He didn't know about the forum, and didn't know who Tim Hill was. I gave him Tim's number, and told him to google this place. He needs to show up just to learn.

Suprising how many cruiser owners will give you the blank face when you ask them if they know about mud.

I remember Jake's comment about running into someone on Mt. lemmon and saying "nice 60" and the reply was "No, it's an '85"...

I'd be interested in a Tucson meet

I've not been in the position to drive up to Phoenix with my rig, so would love to meet some other enthusiasts down here in Tucson. I've only met (well, that sounds bad, not meant that way) Alvin down here locally, when he was kind enough to give me a hand in figuring out a vibration error with my FJ60 right after I first got it, a couple of years back.

There was something that Desert Rat at 22nd and Kolb did a year or so ago, but didn't see anyone there when I wandered by. Perhaps meet at one of their locations?

A couple of years ago, we had a series of meets on the Northwest side of town. A couple at the coffee shop at Thornydale & Orange Grove, and at least one in Oro Valley.

17th?

Ok, I'll toss this out there:

July 10th or 17th, 10 am, Ski Valley parking lot..

Got a conflict on the 10th, and I *HOPEFULLY* will have the front rotor/hub fixed on my 60 this or next weekend. First time ever pulling the hub, so don't know if I'll manage it this weekend or not. Would be interested in the 17th.

Just saw a good looking blond driving a nice 40, green with a tan bikini top (the 40, not the blond), going up the hill on Thornydale. I live in the neighborhood and have never seen that one before.

Anyone here?

I'll need to check, but the 17th might work for me. Maybe leave early and go up the back side.

I'll meet you at the Oracle Circle K if it pans out (that is what I had in mind).

Haven't seen the green one, there is a friend of mine on the nw side who drives a bright blue one.
