Is this for the front or the back. Will have check the length of my 87 rear axle but think it is much longer. So I hope in line.

No pictures of the roof rack yet.
I don't know if the drive shaft is for the front or rear since it came uninstalled on the rolling chassis I bought for parts.
I am guessing that it is for the rear since the front drive line may have had a CV joint and was shorter.

Checked the two driveshafts I picked up from Tim last summer. The shorter one is from a 4/85-7/87 FJ60. This is the shorter of the two and is right around 43". Other is from a 8/80-8/84 and right around 45". Both these are rear driveshafts. Appears yours is a rear driveshaft. Believe the front driveshaft with the double cardan ended 4/85. The cage that protected it ended 4/85.

It looks like it might fit buy it would cover pretty much the whole roof. However I would need to figure out the brackets and if my to is strong enough to support it.
