It bends 5/8" tubing maximum. Is that what you want it for?

ya know chicago, with 2200 posts i would think you would have seen that style bender mentioned here,,oh, i dont know 227 times and all those times it was pointed out that it is not a tubing bender.

I have built several rollcages with my JD2 bender, its all manual but i think it keeps you from wasting as much tube. Google JDsquared they have several diffrent benders

I built a bender, pretty much a clone of the JD2 model 3 bender, with a little patience it's a not that tough of a project. This is a good entry level bender for fabbing bumpers, sliders and cages; not that expensive when you consider the money you'll save when building your own parts.

OOOOPS!:o:o:o:o
Holy CRAP am I ever emberassed!

Anyone ever use/ know anything about the effectiveness of the Northerntool tubing bender?Northern Industrial Tools Space-Saver Parts Bender | Benders | Northern Tool + Equipment

Seems like a decent deal.
I got a Northerntool gift card for Christmas and Im thinking I might pick this up for the bumper build that I have coming up.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Chicago

This is good for bending flat stock. I think you can find something like this for less $$$ than Northern.

Not to get too far off topic here, but has anyone used the JD2 tube notcher? How's the quality of the cut it terms of fit?
As for the bender, must say the video demonstration is pretty impressive given it's price.

I have use dthe JD2 notcher and a HF notcher. The JD notcher is a lot more accurate..

what kind of a job, does this type of pipe bender do?

A. bends pipe not tube...

B. Mostly those benders have the nickname "Kink-o-Matic"

They can do shallow bends in pipe tho..

Of what ive looked at, the JD2 seems to be the best "bang for the buck"!
I had no idea just how pricy these things are!

Im gonna have to take some extra call at the hospital, thats all there is to it!:crybaby::D

They wouldn't flame you in person. When you got out of the Cruiser in my driveway the other day, I was really wondering to myself;

1. I really must have pissed someone off somewhere in my life and today is pay back day.

2. I need a bigger gun.
;)

It was great to formally meet you BTW. Cant wait to get out and wheel with you. The 80 looks bad ass. Did you get that bin finished?
