no, you need to put the arm over the diff, but turn the arm so the concave section still sits over the axle housing, like it does underneath.

Essentially cutting the brackets off the diff housing and sliding them around the diff housing 180 deg and taking the arm off, rotating it 180 deg and let it sit on the axle housing to line up with the brackets now in the new position, so what was the top edge of the arm is now the bottom edge.
