Finally read the MT Truck Trend article. A couple of interesting points. According to their spec sheet, the vehicle had 235 hp. So that means they also did not have an AHC equipped vehicle and VVTi. Not that either one of those should make a difference.
1. The interior of the Toyota is far and away ahead of every vehicle except maybe the VW. Just because it is new does not mean it is put together well.
2. Reliability and durability were never mentioned
3. This test was definitely biased by Advertising Dollars…
Only question that needs to be asked, Which one would drive around the world with just a change of tires?
