Met up with few folks from Expedition Portal and ran the trails starting last Wed - Sun.

We all met up at the Comb Wash campground, off of hwy 95, not too far from Blanding, UT (N37* 30.8426', W109* 39.281'). We started out on Cottonwood canyon, then worked out way to Dark Canyon, Beef basin.

Second night camping was at Beef basin (N37* 57.002', W109* 53.205'')then worked our way to the Lockhart basin trail head.

Third night camping was at the trail head (N38* 12.988', W109* 40.421'')and the fourth night camping was toward the end of the Lockhart basin trail (N38* 25.525', W109* 42.604'). On Sunday, we exited Lockhart trail via Hoorah pass and into Moab. I headed South while everyone else headed north to SLC, UT.

total fuel used was 35 gallons.

What's with the hoods being popped on the 80s, here and the silverton trip? Can't keep those luxo rigs cool? Even with a cooler blocking half my grill to/from/in Moab the temp needle on my 40 never moved from just above the warm mark. :)

Trying different things to keep the underhood temps down. Engine isn't overheating just playing with different things on trips.

Isn't that a head gasket problem symptom?

No, it's just one of Ali's many obsessions! ;)

Nice pics Ali. Looks like it was a great trip. I'd say that was a good test of what your tent trailer can handle, and I'm sure it gave you comfy accommodations along the way.
