Guys would anyone be interested in a snow run tomorrow depending on conditions?

As a sidenote, as a club member and if in a safe manner you are out and can help someone in need without damage to either parties vehicles please offer to help.

Andrew brought up a good point last night that as a club we should offer assistance in the future in events like this to area hospitals should they need drivers with 4WD. I know one of my salesmen does this as a volunteer FF in his local town.

Drive safe and enjoy whatever weather comes your way....

Oh and if you don't intend on driving, drinks lots of these :beer::beer:

I'm also a member of Central North Carolina 4x4, and we've been organizing for several years to assist area organizations. It helps if you have a point person to organize those kind of efforts.

Post up details or call/email, I'll be up for it.

Having grown up and lived much of my life in a heavy snow area, I advise to use great caution when assisting people. Assisting is the right thing to do, but some folks use it as an opportunity to bilk you or your insurance company. I personally will never hook up a strap to a stranger's vehicle again; but I will push, shovel, let them use my phone or stay warm/dry in my truck until a wrecker shows up. I had a guy in Cleveland claim I destroyed his subframe and he was looking for a free new vehicle out of it, thankfully the police and insurance company figured it all out..............

Bummer....I believe it though. I already planned to go out for a few hours down the road to pull people out...it is snowing / pellets here now but the warm air is working its way up and we will have freezing rain here soon. Last year on the way to lowes to pick up some plumbing stuff to fix a neighbors busted pipe we pulled two people out....I bet there will be many more this year.

I lost my key to my beast so I went and got a new one made today and charged up the batteries...should be a lot of fun:bounce:...I've been looking forward to it all day....not to the pallets we have to unload at 0030 Sunday morning from an incomming plane :bang:. Stacking up on the  tonight while I can.

I might be interested as long as we don't hit any of those sweet trails off Davis Dr!! ha!
I'll have to play it by ear - Janet's folks are in town.

I'm definetly interested.
Definetly call me, I wont be around a computer much.
I'll be out most of the night helping my stepdad with plowing the Moses Cone Hospitals.

Yeah we will do the proper check to ensure our location and availability if we make it out.

How much snow did everybody get? Not much by my house but I'm south of Charlotte a little ways.

If you got my text you saw my snow.
If you want drive on up and we'll do some wheeling in the snow. I just went bombing through the part of my neighborhood that hasn't had the houses put up yet. Lots of big dirt hills covered in snow.

Sidenote.... not a member as of yet, still waiting for my tlca to come in, I don't remember what my old number was, but sent in for a new one..., then I'll submit to you guys and pay the membership fee to ONSC.

Luckily for a floridia, I had not started my evening beer -- he had tried to go up an incline and slid into a ditch, and then proceeded to run his tires until he was almost up to the tops of his tires, partially resting on the frame..... I don't have th 40 running, nor here, so used the Avy to pull him out. The sad part was as we were looking at his truck, I hadn't gone and gotten my truck yet, a neighbor sped by in his FJ cruiser without even slowing down :( sad times....
