Triad Area Monthly Meeting Jan 8

Well it’s almost time for the January Meeting. I know I haven’t been around for a while but hope I can make this meeting before I go back to school. The real question is when do ya’ll want to have the meeting? The first Tuesday is Jan 1 so I wasn’t sure if y’all wanted to push it back a day? Or a week? Or keep it the 1st to get the schedule set.

The majority of the vote is for Jan 8 so I guess that will be the date. I go back to school the 6th or 7th so I can keep updating the thread but I won't be able to make it.

Ok so how’s about “Sweet Old Bills” in High Point?

It’s new. BBQ. Never been but some Yelpers say it’s really good southern food. Looks a little small but judging on this months activitiy that may be ok.

Anyone got another pick?

Please forgive me friends, this weekend has been a nightmare.

Today we spent from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm in the High Point hospital ER. My wife broke her right foot and it took 6 hours for her to finally get the diagnosis, get a cast, prescriptions and a follow-up visit with the orthopedic surgeon to set up a pre-surgery appt. Wasn't able to get to Sweet Old Bills but I will try again tomorrow afternoon.

Not sure if I will be able to make it. Probably won't know until Tuesday.

I have been to SOBs a few times... food is solid, nice selection of beers, but the service has been slow when sitting at tables, bar service is fine. Hopefully they'll be a bit quicker on a Tuesday night. They can push high top tables together in the middle of the bar which should accommodate the entire group.
