I installed a tailgate cover from @TrekboxX today. Ive got the tan color Line-X panel and the snap on pad.
My initial impressions are very favorable. It is a well designed and manufactured product, and I think it is an excellent improvement over the factory carpeted panel.

Install is a zero banana job. The instructions are concise and accurate, although I did leave the washer off of the upper center mount as this location is not recessed in the tailgate like the others. I also replaced the foam seal in the center portion of the tailgate (attached to the factory panel) because I had some appropriate weatherstripping foam on hand and because a Lexus without extra weatherstripping is a Toyota. :D

Great product.

I've actually been wondering about this cover and dogs. How do you feel the line-x affects your dogs feet? Do you put the pad on before the dog jumps in? I take my dogs (Mastiff mix and Hound mix) with me everywhere and want to make sure the line-x isn't too rough on their feet. Is this actually a dumb concern?

I was thinking of the other end....:)

It's a rough surface, maybe equivalent to a rough concrete sidewalk. That said, the dogs are standing on the tailgate rather than walking on it. My big beast is pretty sensitive about his feet, and he has no problem with it.

Looks good!

That's the exact set up I'd get if/when funds allow.

Your dog has good taste in beverages. Lol...

Got mine installed.

My tip is to barely start all the screws into the well nuts first. Not sure how you get the double flat washers in there all the way around without doing so.

First line of instructions made me feel better about buying a $240 piece of something nice

Sweet. Mine should be in tomorrow. I am excited to rip out that ratty carpet!

Loving mine - haven't been camping with it yet but it's a huge upgrade to the worn and stained original:

Looks like another great product from Trekboxx. I would purchase one if I already didn't own a tailgate storage lid.

Anyone know if there is a similar product to replace the cargo carpet? After 17 years my carpet is ready for for the incinerator.

Not that I'm aware of... but I really wish there was a way to get a factory vinyl kit. I'd ditch ALL of my carpet in heartbeat.

Popped mine on this weekend. Took 10 minutes, and fits like a glove! Fantastic product, and was nice sliding a big heavy ice chest into the back this weekend.

Just received and installed one of these today. Fantastic product. The fit and finish is outstanding. Highly recommend one if your tailgate carpet is starting to look a bit worn.
