Vid please?!?!

just wondering what happen to this? Was thinking of doing the same thing to my new 200
What do you mean what happened to it?

He had the supercharger installed. It works. he's happy so far.

There are tons of videos on youtube of supercharged Tundras w/ 5.7 engines.

This 50 - 120mph video sums it up fairly well.... that's 6000 lbs pushing a whole bunch of air.

Couple of questions:

1) I used to own a single turbo SC300 Lexus (1JZ) back in the day. Motors were amazing bottom end and could take a punishment. Are the 5.7 engines very stout from the factory or needs internals/bottom end redone to handle lots of power?

2) I never owned a truck. The video you posted looks like its a 2wd Tundra, yet it gets off the line very nice. If you own a truck, given there is no weight on the back end, how do they keep the rear end stable at launch? Or is there lots of heavy sand backs in the bed under the tonneau cover?

The V8 has enough strength to run the supercharger.... but it's not at the inline six level of stoutness.

The Tundra needs to be careful on launch, but if driver knows how to do it, they can launch fairly well. The LC of course has no issues with the AWD.
