As of late, the cruiser sometimes is hard to start or should I say it starts and the rpm drop and the engine stalls?

Anything to do with the supercharger?

Engine has 180plus miles.

A little more data. What's the TB look like? Have you cleaned it recently?

You need to contact Drexx in the Phillipines. He is very keen on all things 4.7L supercharged.

4.7L guru he is.

Nope, guess is should have a look?

I'd wager 10:1 odds that you have some crud on your throttle plate. Get some TB cleaner and a rag and do your best to wipe it off, both from the housing and the butterfly. That's the primary cause of rough/bad idling. Not sure how easy this is to access with the SC, though.

It has EVERYTHING to do with the SUPERCHARGER.

You better sell it to me ... I'm not sure what else to tell you ... except, I'll reluctantly take it off your hands.

Radd - on a serious note. . . there's a guy in Florida that's pretty good with the 4.7L motor. Look him up as he's got lots of race experience so the supercharged 4.7 is even more up his alley. TTC Performance I believe. Ask for Erik. You can tell him I sent you but I don't know if he'll remember me from our few conversations about group buys and cam upgrades.

Thanks if it persists after some cleaning I will contact him...

Might be worth checking your PCV valve is still an air tight fit in its grommet and the PCV pipe connections are all ok as well. A leak there can affect idle more noticeably than normal driving engine speeds (did for me).

WildSmith - can you elaborate on the PCV valve? What did it do? Cost to fix? Is it a DIY job? What kind of idling problems did you have?

I had a slightly low and lumpy idle and had already checked the TB components. The PCV valve itself was fine on mine but the grommet it passes through had gone a bit hard and wasn't sealing well meaning extra un-metered air was getting sucked in. I sealed it up with RTV to verify that as the problem (about 5 months ago) and still haven't got round to getting a replacement grommet! From what I can see the PCV inlet to the throttle body bypasses the throttle butterfly and probably supplies most / all of the air at idle. I would guess the ECU then uses fueling adjustments to control idle speed rather than fine control of the throttle butterfly and just leaves the latter shut.
