But of cours there is a problem. ONce i got everything back together, new fluids in tranny and t-case. As i pull out of the garage i had the truck in drive but i did not give it any gas and it kinds lunged a lil' bit. Then when i gave it gas the rpms rev'd but the truck didn't move then it engaged. As i drove around the town getting everything lubed back up i noticed everytime i came to a stop sign when i went to accelerate nothing!!! Also, when i gave it some gas the rpm's went up but the truck didn't move and then it would engage.

Couple of things i might of done wrong. As i assembled everything i had the shift lever in the 2h position and i had the front drive shift fork (the one on the rear output assembly) in the N position. I am thinking there lies my problem. Has anyone else experienced this problem and what was your outcome.

I will say how wonderful it was to drive the old girl again!!!

I also want to thank all you cruiser heads for your help and pointers. I don't think i could of gotten through this without this forum.

Check atf level in tranny?
Yep..

Bet you are a bit over a quart low...

It doesn't sound like a TCase problem to me either.

Good job, but what was the actual problem?

I'm impressed you could do all that work under your truck.

Well like Mave and Dallen said i was low on ATF so i added a quart and it just about went away. Now the only issue i have is i still have a lil' slippage once i start the truck but once that fluid warms up it goes away completely. I don't quite understand what is causing that. Thoughts?

I will say it is wonderful driving the truck again. I just about slept in it last night cause i was so happy. Even after driving around all day today i crawled under the truck to see if there were any leaks and nothing. Well except for the rear main but still a good feeling.

Now its knuckle time!!

Add just a bit more fluid.. it takes a while for all of the air pockets to work themselves out..

I am glad you got it done :)

Good feeling aint it..

Mace its an awesome feeling rebuilding something so major. It was a huge learning lesson for me...unfortunetly it cost me a rear case cover but in a way it helped me learn more about my t-case. I don't consider myself an expert t-case builder yet but i know a heck of alot more now then i did.

Thanks guys and see you on the trails.
