Hi all, I recently replaced some seals on my rig. One of those seals was the rear output seal for the transfer case (right behind parking brake). I'm pretty sure I installed it correctly and I didn't notice too much wear on the shaft, but ithe still seems to be leaking. I'm guessing I need a speedi sleeve? Can anyone tell me which one/what size I'll need for that?

Thanks for any help!

I would recommend getting in touch with Poser. He can supply you with a housing modified with double seals. This did the trick for mine. You only use the speedy sleeve if there are definite ridges worn into the shaft. Give him a shout.

I used a speedi sleeve on mine and it worked just fine. No more leaks. Part number 99177 as referenced in this thread - Leak at the rear of T-case. Pretty easy to do.

Smear a little liquid steel putty into the groove before you knock your sleeve on...it will extend the life of the repair by...well...who really knows...a little bit, at least.
Over time, the speedi sleeves collapse back into the groove. This little procedure is said to slow down that process.

I love mud!! I replaced my seal about two weeks ago, their were no groves in the seal surface. I noticed a few days ago that it was still leaking. I didn't know this was a common problem! I have been trying to figure out how I'm going repair it. Problem solved!!
