If all else fails have a muffler shop weld a big ole honking nut on the plug from the inside threads then Big Cresent Wrench or Pipe Wrench or even Impact.
I would be ticked to say the least.
All mine now have the Allen Head.

Well the chisel method didn't work and the welder was a little nervous about melting tcase and the weld just breaking anyway.
Good news is you can definitely get the needed 2 quarts in the speedo cable hole!!!

mig at low heat will get something on,

try getting it the plug while working from a lift, will make life easier, when I had one stuck I actually welded a 1/2" x 1/2" socket to the fill plug, worked like magic

I know this is an old thread but had same situation today. I filled through the speedo cable hole but lost track of how much went in. Did it run out the cable hole with the 2 quarts?

Update I ended up getting the biggest vice grips possible and got it off. To my surprise oil bearly started trickeling out. Will get a bolt but this method really worked.
