Thanks for that i will be doing that . Do you know what size thread that genuine sensor isthere is a transmission sensor already in the trans on the upper right side, it will alert a light on the dash if your trans is getting to hot. you can take that sensor completely out and install your new probe into that. Keep the original toyota sensor plugged into the wire and zip tie it somewhere. obviously you wont have that light kick on if the trans gets to hot as it is no longer in the transmission. But since you have a new gauge your constantly watching, it wont matter. If you do however, not have the toyota wire plugged into that original sensor, your light will permanently be showing on the gauge cluster. This is how I installed my trans temp gauge.
Cool thankssorry, I dont know the size. My gauge came with a few different fittings. one of them fit perfect, so i imagine it a pretty common thread pitch and size. Any auto parts store should have adapters if you need one. You can always take out the toyota fitting and go from there on size.
This is exactly what I did, the factory sensor is M14 x 1.5Thanks for that i will be doing that . Do you know what size thread that genuine sensor is
