The other day I saw transmission fluid on the cross member under the trans cooler in front of the radiator. Has anyone had a problem before with their transmission cooler leaking? I searched with no results on a leak.

At least on mine the trans cooler is water:water and is integrated into the bottom of the radiator. The a/c condenser is in front. Is yours aftermarket?

Could just be the hose getting dry and brittle where it slips on. Are you sure it's not coolant? Both appear red. Smell to verify.

^ tranny cooler in front of the radiator per OP's on my '99...& a tranny warmer apart of the lower radiator cap that flows ATF IIRC.

mine is stock it is in front of the A/c condenser.... it is leaking at the 90 degree elbow flowing in to the cooler ( i believe)

its definatly ATF, it is red but does not dry out and leave red crusties. i already did the $3 fix( just in case) of the constant tension hose clamps failing and the rubber line..... but definatly not the clamps or line leaking.

Just looked and you're correct. Was thinking back to t-belt and there's just an in/out on the radiator and directly in front is condenser.

Does it look like the tube stub or cooler is craked? If not could be simple hose job. Do check your trans fluid level if you think it's been leaking for a while.

Trans level is fine. Luckily I noticed when it first happened. And yes it's at the tube stub, Going to try to get it welded tomorrow And test it after.

Can someone tell me how to program a Scan Gauge II to read the transmission oil temperature. Or is this possible?

Plan on pulling a 6,000# travel trailer 350 miles at the end of this week and want to take as many precautions as possible.
