How are you welding it in? Are you tacking around, then halving the distance between tacks, then doing that over and over?

If you are burning it right around it will warp.

Ill tack it in to get it level with the floor pan, then Ill go side to side in 3/4 to 1 in segments to dissipate the heat. Do you think its a heat warp in the SAME SPOT after THREE attempts?

Im listening to anything you may have!
I appreciate it!

Maybe you need a piece of angle iron to brace across the angled section something like 1/2"X1/2"x1/16". Just enough to stiffen the pan a little?

Rusty...do you think a lip on the edge would work in lieu of angle iron?
Not that anyone would necessarily SEE it, or LOOK for it, but...you know how I am...
Ive got some round bar that I could use too, but I think youre right, that it needs some means to stiffen up that area. The more I think about it...(lost sleep last noc on this), the more I realize that ALL other sides are tied into a structured area, and that is FLAT and OPEN.
Didnt feel like Fing with it tonight, so Ill get at it tomorrow.

It couldn't hurt to try a flange first.

Dr Claw

I really like the way you recessed the twin sticks hole. It saves enlarging the hole and not being able to find a shifter boot.

DAMN IT!!!!
Now that is a point I didnt consider!!!!!!:crybaby::bang:

Thanks for pointing that out!

s***!

:D

I feel like spending some more of your money. :D

If you haven't looked for a source for your triple stick boot, I had a good experience with these guys.
