I only have a 12.75 left. I have more on order. Vendor is out of fittings and will probably be several weeks before i get more as the factory he buys fittins from is backordered right now. Great sorry guys.

I have both the 12.75 and the 17.5 hoses in stock. If a PO rethreaded your case with an NPT you will have to make an adapter. PM me and I can steer you in the right direction.

This hose is piece of mind. I run one on my ‘78. Still no substitute for getting under there and checking levels.

I will do any thing to make fellow Mudders happy. All funds go towards my mission work to turn Banana waste stems into clothing. The funds raised from the hoses and Shift Plates help pay for the expenses until I get the first article build complete. Unfortunately no one helps pay for the engineering involved, so my SS check and these sales are paying for it until we can make that first square meter of fabric. Work is going on in Haiti, Philippines and India. Many other tropic countries are wanting this as soon as we can get the formula right to clean the fibers. All help is welcome. Well I am still doing the stainless braided hoses almost 7 years latter. If you need a custom length I can do it just need the length then I can get you a price. I do have 12.75 and 17.5 hoses in stock. Even if need a special adapter we can figure it out some PO’s have done some strange things! Just pm me.

Cheapest way to solve this is to fix two banjos with corresponding thread joined with a quality rubber hose & two stainless steel hose clips.

This is a DIY job.

Agree but rubber hose doesnt resist the heat as well. These hoses have a teflon hose on the inside which resist heat and the stainless steel braided outside. Depending on where a P.O. put the tailpipe it could be a problem.

For those interested in going the DIYroute the thread size on the stock transfer case and stock transmission is M18x1.5. My hoses use a sandwich oring between two thin sheet metal washers. If you use crush washer (copper) dont tighten too tight as others have stripped the threads. We went to o-rings so they could be used over and over. Crush washers typically are a one time deal. I have reused with a little leak and didnt care at the time. Now I do. I do have both sizes in stock. If a P.O. changed the threads contact me as we have helped mudders get adapters. Some P.O.’s cross threaded with a 1/2 npt gurrrr. Dont fall into that trap.

I recently changed the gear oil in both the transmission and T.Case. Have put less than 50 on the vehicle miles since. This evening I pulled the fill plug on the transmission and it overflowed, on the garage floor, probably about an ounce to an ounce and a half. I installed the shipmag bypass hose to hopefully alleviate the migration of gear oil and buildup of pressure. Thanks to this Forum for all of the valuable shared wisdom.

I think about this mod almost every time I get the 40 up to highway speeds. I would like to purchase one please. It's for a 71 FJ40 with stock three-on-the-tree and transfercase, not sure which length is best. Sending pm now.
