Put mine on almost a yr ago-stopped the leaking(at least outside), and the buildup of oil in the tx. My only problem is how many times I can remove the hose to check the case levels before needing a new copper gasket--Any idea how many times I can remove and reinstall before I have to get a new gasket? I've checked 3 times so far, and each time have increased tightening torque by 5 ft-lbs when I put it back together--no leaks yet, but I'm sure at some point the torque will be too much--maybe I'm over-torquing to begin with??(started out with 25)

Help! I'm getting fluid going INTO my transfer case! Have hose installed, vents clear. I've seen a couple of short mentions of this but no real answers why or how to fix...

I asked the vendor which was better the old copper rings or the oring style he now sends to me. This was his reply:
"The bonded seals are easier to reuse and generally seal better (more forgiving). Either can be reused until wear is notable. Torque is snug +/- 1/3 turn. More of a "feel" thing. " This was a surprise to me and thought I would pass it on I always torque these banjo bolts that practice is stopping with me based on his input.

Got mine installed last night. What a nice piece that is, thanks. No pics as I was rushed a bit but when I pulled the tranny plug I got a few ounces of oil, not too bad. I was interested to see how much had migrated as I had just had that plug out a few weeks ago. Glad to have that project done.

have asked my vendor for some more seals. He is suppose to send me some with the o-ring and should get them when I get the next group buy in which will be a couple weeks from now.

Ok so how many guys are running or have run the hose purely as a preventative measure or after fixing the leak just kept on running with the hose in place ? Any adverse effects running the hose if you do not have a leak ?

I'm running them on two different trucks. Cheap insurance, didn't have a leaking seal but had the body off and everything apart.

Thank you for the reply. So there is no spillage due to gears splashing the oil in the tranny up to the filler hole or extreme angles when wheeling etc ? Not sure why I have reservations about this but it just seems that if there is no leak then oil can only run downwards from the tranny to the T/Case and not visa versa ?

I do the group buys for the stainless hose if you are interested pm me and I can give you payment info.

I still have both sizes of hoses available if any one is interested pm me.

If you don't have one of these you should. Shipmag stepped up to the plate and hit a home run with these. Construction is amazing. Like I said when I installed mine, I wish it was in a more conspicuous location so I could see it more often. It's by far the best looking part on my cruiser. Thanks for making these.
