Cool videos. Makes me want to get the truck back fully functional.

Thanks Nick for adventuring this way and once again showing me my backyard :)

You're welcome Paul. Thanks for being game to get out. Was a great day. Hope to do this again in the next month or two. So many cool trails and places to explore around Cowichan.

Hopefully we can get a few cruisers out next trip. I think Jon would be keen if he's back from work then.

Would have been great to have you. Revive the thread discussing getting your truck back on the road - lets discuss what needs to be done there.

Would have been fun to get out, but I was not in any shape to be trapped in a small truck cab for any length of time. :bang:

I’m surprised you didn’t fit something from a fighter jet pilot contraption which deals with this sort of thing during your custom build ;-)

Years ago I was in the states, and we stopped at a cafe in Idaho or Montana somewhere. Middle of nowhere.

Ended up at a table next to a couple old guys having a bit of a day drunk. Somehow the topic of sushi came up.

Old dude #1 says, " I tried sushi once. Weren't a sagebrush for 40 miles I didn't s*** behind"

Still cracks me up

Maybe next time. To be honest, the best trails were the easiest to get to. Fun roller coaster trails through beautiful woods. Just hard enough to keep you alert, but not hard enough to cause damage. From Victoria I'm to them in 1hr or so. Not bad.

Looks like a good time, cannot beat that destination for wheeling and also motor bike trails I hear. I should have the hdj81 fully functional by then, as much as I love the bj42 the comfort factor is out the door.

Wus... :p

I drove the Washington-Oregon-California coast taking the smallest highways and bi-ways I could find on the way to LA. From there across to Phoenix, Arizona and then back to Victoria. It's plenty comfortable.

Ya I had my self talked into the 25 rubicon cruiser run few years back, was planning on running the bj42 down. I trust it to make it down and back, just need to re core the rad. Drove a 1977 fj45/f1hz turbo down to Pismo Beach in one of the worst storms through Oregon, had a soft top rear bed and the wind was pushing me all over. Great one man trip, slept in the back of the 45 on the dunes and was one of my most favorite trips south.

Land Pimps fj40 was here for a freshen up on the paint and body, mustard truck 1982 rust free ;) he sold it another mud member Yooper and SeaNight picked it up and drove it back east.

I put a parabolic lift in the fj45, nicest driving 40/45 series I ever drove. Two springs on all four corners
