This trailer was built when I bought it, but it was pretty rough. I cleaned it up, slapped some Bushwacker flares on it, some Warrior Products diamond steel corners, ripped off the cheesy wooden box on the front and replaced it with the metal one with an expanded steel floor. It looks pretty decent behind the FJ Cruiser or the Jeep and it's really handy.

Next is wheels, a rear bumper, and possibly a tent setup.

I had old army jeep made into a trailer, I hauled it around Pismo Beach 70s' behind my 71 FJ40 got a lot of stairs from jeep owners wasn't as pretty look at , like it was put together with a cutting torch in an afternoon.

Got wheels, tires, and the Hi Lift on. Gonna skip replacing the rear bumper...Hi Lift and mount was cheaper and now it looks spiffy. :)

And if anyone wants to know why you only have the rear of a jeep, you can just tell them this part was the least likely to fail

WOW! What a great concept..turned out fantastic!! Nice big box on the front to stuff the kids in when they don't listen on the trail. Good job:cheers:

Very nice ,
Its the best use for a Heep yet.

Well....I dunno bout that.
I own a Jeep and I put it to a LOT of good uses. I got rid of my 40 so now I just have the FJC and the Rubicon and between the 2 I'll take the Rubicon over the FJC for anything other than towing. Toyota should have made the FJC a little more capable and given it a removable top.
I'll own a 40 again when the right opportunity presents itself.

Its a shame really,, the original fj was copied from the jeeps and was a great off-roader in its own right,, I had one years ago,,, when I heard they were bringing back the fj I was all excited,, till I saw one and drove one,, thought,, very nice truck.. not jeep like.. I'd off-road a taco over that instead.. I have jeeps too,, and toys,, right now I'm about to pick up a 97 taco for a trail rig.. has frame rot and the factory already said no to repairing,, Already has an "r" title.. so.. I would love to have half a jeep to do a little trailer with,, looks great..
Have fun with your jeep and a half!
