Does anyone know what the thread pitch on the bolts for the hitch receiver are. I threw mine out and am installing a new BIOR rear bumper this weekend.

Thanks

According to the first search result for "hitch bolt pitch" it is 12x1.25 (fine thread).

Yes. 12x1.25. Metric. I believe I used 50mm bolts, but I needed the slightly extra length as I reinstalled the factory tow points. I special ordered six of them in grade 10.9, as well as grade 8 yellow zinc 1/2" flat and lock washers in yellow zinc for $25 from Fastenal. Only took a day to get them in.

To clairfy, I used longer bolts to install a factory tow hitch. I believe you should be ok with 40mm

I thought the were 12mm x 1.75.

I thought the were 12mm x 1.75.

1.75 is the coarse thread - those are relatively easy to find. The fine thread (12mmx1.25)is a bit more hard to find and not as many options available at Fastenal.

Yes, they are the fine pitch, and yes hard to find. I had Fastenal order me a set a year ago I think and had to wait a week or two for them. But they worked great on the factory holes.

They are definitely M12x1.25. I went to ACE today and without checking I bought the M12x1.75. Did not fit. They did not carry the M12x1.25 so I went to my local yota dealership and I scored 4 M12x1.25 for $free.99!
