I got a ton of inspiration for my build on this site so I thought I would share. I really only have a few pics of the build so most of them are of what I have got done to date.

Cut from our club website. calcreppers.com

Took the trailer up a few weeks ago where I found a large tree across the trail right as we got to camp. Lacking better judgment I decided to take the trailer over it. All said and done I damn near broke the tong off the trailer. I took some trail side welding to get it home. The pics are at work so I'll have to add them later...

Fast forward through a few weeks of reconstruction I have it about ready for the trail with a few improvements.

I purchased a fridge freezer some weeks ago and wanted to incorporate it in the new build. This opened a hole can of worms because the new location for the fridge was in the location my batteries, generator and propane were. This meant I would have to rework all systems on the trailer before it would see trail time again..

I built the box for the fridge to include the control panel, faucet, and 110 volt power.

The inverter I got has a nifty little remote panel that turns it on, which is a good thing because you can't access the inverter when the tent is set up.

Through the small door on the side you can adjust the temp on the fridge to sub-zero temps!

This a look inside a panel along side the 30 gallon water tank. What could go wrong with propane water and electricity. :music-smiley-005: You can also get a peak of the battery tender thingy.. With the trailer plugged in I can pack the week before I leave and the food will remain cold. In fact the fridge and tent heater could run for close to a week on battery power.

I'm concidering mounting the water heater here perminantly. As it sits now I store it in the back and hang it where you see it now. It connects to the plumbing you see at the bottom right hand side of the box. Wha-la.. hot and cold water!

The table folds out from inside. The trailer can even be opened up with the tent deployed.

I stored all the cooking/cleaning supplies under the table.

I moved the batteries to the rear of the trailer to reduce the tong weight..

To charge the batteries or assist with winching I ran 4 gage wire through one of these what-cha-m-call-it plugs.

Push the yellow button to read the battery voltage through a back lit meter.

I moved the propane to the side.

I still need to plumb the propane, and mount the tent heater (propex 2600). I'll follow up with pics of that later.

Wow, that's real nice work!

i START

I am goign to start building my lid this week so I can have it ready for hte jeep show here in PA Could you post a few pics of how you made your lid???????

I really like the fold-over table. Very convenient!:D

Wow, incredible workmanship. edit: apologies for the interrogation below, but such craftmanship can teach us :banana:s

Do want pix of the entire set-up (tow-rig + trailer) in both trail and camp mode. What is forward box and side table made of? More pix of table design??

Matching tires through-out look great: you must live in a state that doesn't require full fender coverage of same??

Is that a 416/105 homebuilt trailer platform? (don't see the characteristic up-angled sides). Data please.

What do you store in the little pelican boxes aft of trailer axle? Do you carry spare fuel for tow rig on board??

The one thing that I have concern with is a faucet above electrics: understand you're trying to keep kitchen on one side, but e above h20 would be preferable. my 2c.

again, beauty build, look forward to seeing more snaps.

I bought a Zodi shower but still thinking of getting one of them heaters.....
I think if you build a box (metal, aluminum) that could house the heater and the water pump you could leave it there.. I think that is what I would try to do.... actually that is what Im going to do....

Thanks for posting and sharing.. looks awesome !!!

Lid info?

Could you post more pics of how your lid is secured? Is it all wood? Im looking at something very similar, just dont have the knowledge money or resources to weld or pay someone to do it. Hoping to learn from what you did, thanks. great build

NICE!!!
I really like the look of the varnished ply, it's a classy way to roll!
Whereabouts in Ca (assuming by the calcreepers reference) are you located?

didn't read everything above, but you do have the means for ventilation if you're putting the fridge in that box, right?
