Cowboy Breakfast is fast approaching. There will be 2 trail rides. Sept 17-19th 2021

Sat Morning After the Cowboy Breakfast: Moderate Trail ride into the Jemez Mts. Probably late morning, but for sure after the breakfast activities are over and that gives us time to break camp. Come out for breakfast and then go on this ride, or show up late morning and join up .
This will be a moderate ride. Tight trails, big water bars and some rocks, some washed out areas, and mostly low range . If muddy, could get slippery. If time permits we will make a larger loop and add one other trail that has some moderate sections, but still lots of low range. Plan to be back to camp around dinner time.

Sunday morning ride: After breaking camp, we will do the La Ventana Loop. Rugged BLM roads. Day trippers, come on out for this ride. Easier , but lots of low range and very rocky. Great views from Mesa tops and some switchbacks. Leaving camp area around 10-11 am. About a 3 hour loop and then we can start heading home that afternoon.

Both rides leave from Rock Bowl Beach camp area and return there at the finish each day. Need recovery points front and back, low range, good off road tires. Bring food and water. HAM radio 146.400.
I will be camping out from Friday afternoon til Sunday after the ride, then headed home. Once out there, spotty cell service at camp.
Questions?? Ask away.
Jeff B will lead both days.

What is the campground situation, is it pay?

How many folks are planning on going?

I am in!

Jeff,

Thanks for leading us around Saturday. Isabelle had a blast driving with the crew and I enjoyed looking at the scenery, for a change, from the passenger seat 👍

I will try posting some pictures later today. Agreed that riding shotgun is more scenic.

I mostly took photos in camp and some on 2nd day trail run.

Pat and Susan navigating easily through the one spot on the run that I had trouble with. It took everybody to get me through it.
