Traction control warning + steering wheel jerk

For a few weeks, my LC100 (300k) has had a traction control warning on slight curves at 60+mph. This has been reported on other threads.
Yesterday, I had a very scary experience where the warning went off on the exact curve where it's happened before and i almost lost control of the vehicle in the rain & freeway traffic as the steering wheel made a violent pull to the right. I fought the wheel to stay in my lane and drove home in the slow lane with hazards on.
I'm sharing this part because if this warning goes off for others, I would not keep driving the car.
I will replace the rack and pinion with a new OEM, but any other possible causes? I'd rather replace all possible sensors during this process. Can any electronics cause the wheel to turn on it's own?
 
This happened to me and it was a chewed-up ABS sensor. Check ABS sensors on all wheels, stability control will do funky stuff if ABS is sending sketchy data.

It could very likely be just the rack and pinion bushings are worn. This has been the case for me or two of my Lexii. Replaced with Whiteline bushings and all good with zero slipping of rack and zero warnings beeps. But if you want to just spend a pile of money any way, you can sure do that.

Happy to hear this given I've gotten the beeps and automatic brake application on some turns and am about to replace the steering rack to include the poly bushings.
 
I don't know anything about the automatic braking, is that a response to the perceived loss of traction? I assumed something must be physically binding in the rack/pinion.

In my experience, automatic breaking for stability control happens when the car is leaning too much at a high speed. An alarm also sounds (2001) and its different than any other bell or alarm on the truck, its very distinctive, first time I heard it I was like "whats is that?!" (took a turn way too fast). I've also had it brake erroneously due to a bad ABS and almost wrecked because of it. ATRAC also brakes when loss of traction. Its all an integrated system that uses multiple sensors ABS on all four wheels is one.
 
Just an update on this thread. Replaced abs sensors and bushings and it greatly reduced the frequency of the warning. It's happened once since then, but no automatic braking occurred.
 
I did have one side with loose bearings, and had them repacked but still had the warning go off once.
The car has had a lot of fixes/upgrades recently, now down to just a power steering fluid leak on the todo list.
- OME 2.5" lift & torsion bars
- OME UCAs
- replaced CVs and outer tie rods
- replaced steering bushings
- replaced front calipers (rear calipers in the mail)
- new front and rear drive shafts
- timing belt job
