Recently, after placing an order with CDan we began to have to have some small talk. He was bemoaning the rising cost of dog food and I mentioned my need for a leaf blower. He immediately said, ”You want a blower!” I responded in the affirmative. He then said that I could get a Toyota blower and it was only 29.89. The phone connection was pretty bad and I asked him about the velocity the blower would produce and he said over a hundred miles an hour. I remembered seeing other leaf blowers advertised with over two hundred miles per hour-Dan said it was impossible for other blowers to be that fast. So it was settled that I would get the Toyota blower-Mr. T always has good stuff.

The blower arrived in a large box and we have followed the installation instructions carefully. Somehow, It didn't seem quite right from the start. It was much more difficult to assemble than any of my earlier blowers. Then when it was put together it did not work. We have tried every possible way to use it and don't seem to be able to blow away the leaves. I have driven the LC over the entire yard several times and the leaves remain in place. Is there a recall on this product?

One odd occurrence was that when I filled up with premium gas, as per the blower's direction, the acceleration of the vehicle got better. I always heard that high-octane gas did nothing for power in a cruiser-see what the experts know!

BTW Dan, somebody moved the decimal place over on the order a couple of spots on my bill. Could you correct it? :D

I notice yours didn't get the Kazuma or the TRD casting - nice!

That is also the new-design blower case. Those who have the old blower wil readily see the difference.

Richard you are supposed to drag the rake around behind you when you are driving on the lawn....

What a purty site, awwww to wonder the power you get with such a contraption on your engine.

Is that thing on your new cruiser?

Hi Victor!

It is on my new one. I ended up finding a 40th Anniversary edition with 61K on it and went for it. It is awfully clean. The only problem was some of the wood grain had started to delaminate--that was a quick fix!

I want to thank you again for your help. I ended up getting a vehicle out of Birmingham.

Sweet, that should make for a good tow rig.

Your welcome, I'm glad you didn't take the one here especially after all the leaks it had.

You have to post more pics of the new rig.

You accidentally bolted the blower to the intake. You were supposed to turn it 90 degrees to the ground. I have my blower set up so it only engages in low range for safety... something you might want to look into.

Cheers

The Toyota manual leaves much to be desired. I appreciate your help and the safety warning--it is probably on the ones they sell in California!

I am not likely to be going to Slee's this summer. More likely Christo's parts coming to me. I have had pretty all possible PM stuff short of a HG done and have put in a good number of Slee mods in too.

In a way, I hate altering the vehicle. The deer and idiot drivers make an ARB manditory and from there it just snowballs. :D
