Did anybody else notice that the gallery did not feature a picture of a 200? The other body-on-frame models were shown, but no love to the LC ...

I feel like the LC never gets any love in the US... they did mention it in the article, which to be honest kinda shocked me... but all and all just glad to see Toyota is commited to building offroad SUV's moving forward, even if sales are down:cheers:

That's good to hear. Especially since muricans now think an SUV is a front drive station wagon with parking lot ground clearance and a "cool/hip/catchy" name. Yes I'm talking to you, crossover owners.

For all but the couple thousand of us that actually care about these things, that is enough. Got to admit, we are niche market within a niche market. Most people just want to get the kids to practice or to work on time. If people wanted something different they would sell 100,000 Land Cruisers and 2000 Highlanders.

Most of the rest of the world is no different (or even more so give the high fuel prices).

I find this to be great, as with probably most people on MUD.

A while ago I was reading some website's take on the 4runner and basically saying that the body on frame construction was a fault since everybody else was using the unibody method. It is also one of the few new SUVs that have a transfer case (some of the other SUVs shouldnt even be called that, they should be called bigger cars..)

IF toyota keeps things the way they are and the way they used to be, they will be the only ones that will be able to call their vehicles tough. Everybody else is just making gay ass cars..

Couldn't have said it better myself. Now SUV's are basically big, front wheel drive cars.
