I had a short in my trailer that appears to have zapped some unreplaceable fuses in this sealed "Toyota 15 amp taillight converter auto circuit protection" box that I found inside the driver tail light of my 99 Land Cruiser.

I bough this cheap Hopkins 48845 converter to replace it. Will this work if I spice in the Toyota connectors? Naturally the factory colors do not match the generic harness. On the input Toyota harness I have green, green/yellow, green/white, green/black, and just green. Any ideas? Of course there are 4 wires on the Toyota part and 5 on the generic replacement.

Is there a diagram with the wires labeled? Can you post a picture so we can help?

Thanks for the links. The box was already up in the taillight so I think the recall was already corrected.

I ended up buying the Tow Ready wiring harness part 118365 because it's plug and play on the input end. I'll splice it into the existing trailer connector and let you know if it works.
