Thanks for all the info & suggestions. Right now I use my rig mainly as a DD with occasional off-road forays. The BFG AT's have been great in the snow so far & ride just fine on the road. The noise from a set of MT's probably wouldn't bother me at all. Lot's to consider until the time comes to plunk down some dough.
My 60 has BFG ATs. I love them in the sand and are great for the roughly few hundred miles a year I put on it.
My 100 had BFG MTs and I just took them off and replaced them with Toyo OC ATs. I love them. Quiet and handle well on road. I broke them in at Yankee Toys Fall Gathering and they were decent off road. No comparison to the BFG MTs off road, but that's not what I got them for.
My buddy as BFG ATs on his 100 and I notice significantly more noise than my Toyos.
To be clear on this post. I have both BFG A/Ts and the Toyo OC M/Ts on my rigs. So far I have really liked the Toyo's because of the aggressive tread and super smooth ride. When I get my sliders on I will test out the sidewall strength this spring in Moab!
The problem with this is that he is looking at the Toyo OC/AT not the M/T. I have onwned both tires the BFG A/T and the Toyo OC/AT and if you will never take your truck off road then the Toyos stack up pretty well but if off road performance is even a slight consideration buy the BFG's good on road and great off road compared to the Toyos. I also got 72k out of my bfg while only but still respectable 60k out of the Toyos.

Good point. Can't do that apples vs oranges thing. I had intended on putting the OC/ATs on my daily driver. But the M/Ts where so smooth on the road that I considered not going that route. But, I don't commute that far. If I did and if the rubber on the M/T was so kind to my *ss I think the A/T would be even better. So, the next time I drive from UT to TX... I will drop on the OC/ATs
no kiddin, hugh heifer sold me on the bfg a/t because he said they lasted him over 5 years and were one tough tire. i've heard nothing but good stuff as far as wear longevity.
