Our 2006 LX470 uses most of the throttle to pull the boat. Im thinking about using HDJ80 for a pull rig. Both have auto trans and boat weight is ~5000#

I own both and the diesel cruiser for the win even better if you can get one with a 5 speed (I always buy manual trans diesels). My UZJ100 struggles with my Chaparral 216 SSI and my wifes little Jeep Grand Cherokee (Diesel) pulls that boat like a champ.

Good to hear my HDJ80 has an auto and I dont see that changing.The boat is a Chaparral deck boat. Your 100 is not VVTi, correct?
