Bearings on Patricks trailer

All we have found is a passenger side brake cable is frozen so like a good lawyer and salesperson we just unhooked it.

I robbed the tire jack from under my 100 and mounted it under the back of my M416

Worked perfectly. I put a ratchet strap as a safety measure across it as the winch is attached to C channel. I'm sure it would be fine but I don't want it crashing into a Democrat's windshield.

In the 60 tech section, there's s thread about an almost plug 'n play trailer harness. Y'all may already be wired (or not mind splicing into factory wires), but here's the thread...

So, I've always wondered why I have a an aftermarket DrawTite hitch with no pigtail. Bookmark that thought and fast forward to today. I bought the Hopkins kit in the thread above:

Spent a couple of hours with these small tools

Re-engineering the wires so that would match the oem connectors:

Then, beaming with pride and my chest puffed out, I remove my drivers side tail light to install my handiwork, and immediately notice that someone (not in Japan) had been in there before:

So I chased this little assembly into the innards of my rear quarter panel, where I found this wedged under the jack in the stowaway:

So, turns out I do have a pigtail. I guess they didn't want to run it through the grommet so they opted for "yank it out and smash the lift gate on it" method.

Haha! I've got one of those too. It's tucked (or used to be, I don't have a hitch anymore) inside the quarter panel and you have to fish it out through the bottom of the tailgate.

Hell, I just bough one of those for wiring up my new ARB bumper. Allows for independent turn/stop signals on a trailer that was originally not designed for them. I'd hang on to it if I were you.

So, kidless and wife less gives me plenty of time to clown around in the shop.

Traded the tire for my 10L Jerry cans. I filled them up and it's actually balanced again. Not much heavier than when the tire was up there.

So then I decided to paint it.

Paint over rust/dirt/spiderweb style like I used to do my duck boats.

Next on the list is some brush on hurculiner for the handles/hooks/rails

I'm probably going to leave the inside of the tub as is.

Trailer is looking good.

Check out Raptor Liner by Upol on Amazon. Comes with everything you need including the spray gun. Used it on underside of my 40. Awesome stuff.

Let's build 3!

Nolen, I still have the small jerry cans I bought from you when you scapped the original trailer you had.

You must have gotten them from Kowboy. He took everything off and sold it for pennies.

I had 2 10L cans and just bought 2 10L holders from the place Cam sent me to. They are mounted up

Chef Lou gonna look at tailgate fab this afternoon while I'm doing his shocks.
