Just drug this load about 100 miles. My stock truck laughed at it.

is $750.00 of diesel round trip too much for my Paloma?

I thinks My old Paloma did great!

that Diesel Fuel Supplement deal you guys recommended works great!

I used it all the way over to Moab!

Did not check the mileage going, but I checked it coming back!

My best tank was from the last part of New Mexico on I-40 until a lil' town out side of Amarillo,TX.

She gave me 16 miles/ gal and her worst tank was 12 miles/ gal.

not bad for an old girl!

then again I was not speeding, since she couldn't!

Also I kept her at 70 where she could run!

We had no mecanical problems at all, other than a small leak from the brake master cylinder!

I will change the whole master!

Note:
I know what the sign means
Trucks on right lane only!

...going up on those hills, my old dodge was struggling bad to go up the hill!

we struggled a lot on those hills from New Mexico and West Texas

She needed air and let it out quick!

She's fully stock! ...no gauges, no tach.

The fuel pump was serviced last year and left it stock!

I have to get some enhancements to get it to handle more towing capacity!

4" muffler/ pipe!
need a better air filter
gauges and tach
then fiddle w/ the pump

gotta get a lighter goose neck trailer!

Question:

When we're pulling a goose neck trailer or even a bumper pull trailer w/ the 80 on it,
are we supposed to stop on those scales that we ran into when we're entering a city?

Nope

How many miles did you have to travel total?

I was at $1100 in Diesel

Wow, that's nice. What mpg did you average?

Avg for the trip was right at 13. Honestly, I was expecting better but I guess that wasn't too bad after all.

Can get a brand new 40 ft ( long enough for 3 as well) for right at $6590 (as of june 2011) from lone wolf trailer. Same brand as Jrobs trailer.

Pretty sweet tow rig at KOA campground in Moab.

Is it me or do the axles look to be a bit too far forward? May just be the pics, but I would not want the weight of an 80 hanging back there

I think it's the pics. Some make it look like the axles are too far back, and some show too far forward.

Not worth 10K in my opinion...

Love the pop up. That's a great idea.
