looks good. It just dawned on me you are the truck my wife keeps spotting around Madison/Ridgeland. NOW I can asked her "did it have a big brown box thing on top?" and if she says yes, then I know who it is!

how does one overland one's ass off? does enough seat time literally make it shrink....and if so how does time by a campfire with a drink while SITTING make it grow back?

Makes for a nice doghouse

Can you get it in garage?

That would be a huge negative; However, it's only living on the roof of my vehicle for this trip. For subsequent trips, it's going to travel on the m416 trailer (like Nolen's setup). I just didn't quite have it done in time for this trip.

@SHUSH, there is a copycat to my car; I think you posted it in the 100 thread. It's not mine; it still has the running boards and I don't think it's lifted. I guess what I am trying to say is mine is better than that one :)

Eno camping still awesome.

Night one I got a little tipsy and messed up the under bag. Pad inside and holder. Good bag. 49 degrees. Perfect.

Last night we had cool north wind and 39* and I had all above plus the bag under.

Excellent.

Love these things.

Nolen do you normally sleep on your back or side in bed?

I always sleep on my side. Never do I sleep on my back in bed.

I sleep in the Eno on my back like a baby. I'm telling you. Get one. Try it at the station.

You can turn on your side in them though. When Pig crowded me out this AM, I went out for about an hour on my side.

I bought my ENO easily 10-15 years ago in Atlanta at a Festival back when these guys were traveling around and selling them out of their van. It's been with me for just about every trip since then. While wonderful for a nap in the afternoon, I can't sleep in the damn thing. Sleeping in the curve of a hammock KILLS my back. And I always end up with my head lower than my feet and that sucks.

Yeah, he slept right through my son barfing up a lung in the middle of the night and me scrambling in the vehicle for clean up and meds..

by the way, if you ever find yourself in Mena Arkansas on overland trips in the area, DO NOT eat at the Branding Iron BBQ, unless you like crappy food and subsequent GI issues.

We were 1 of 3 for food safari stops.

Flying Burger. A++++ El Dorado

Branding Iron D- Mena

Hamburger Barn C Arkadelphia

I'll do better next time

As for the NYE trip. I may be in. Gotta see how life pans out.

Wants/Needs from this past weekend:

Better camp table
Skottle
Bigger rear springs. Mine is bottoming out. Gonna dive into that next.
