Towing a 76FJ40 for 10hrs

I flat towed a larger 40 from Vermont to Chicago, 1/2 way across the country. I would follow advice but see if you can get the tow vbar flat. even use a lower hitch turned upside down. If so you'll befine, provided the suspension on the 40 is solid. All of my SUA 40s have flat towed great... For what its worht, even long distance... Andre
 
Go to UHaul, rent their flatbed car hauler, drive the 40 on, strap it down, and off you go. Relatively inexpensive (I think it was $20 a day last time I did it), and safe.
 
I've rented U-haul stuff for towing FJ40s around, their stuff works fine, just don't tell them you'll be towing a Landcruiser(according to them it's too heavy for their equipment).
