I didn't but thanks for keeping me in mind Mike, that model has the 6.0 and started the problems Ford had for years after they stopped the 7.3. Its a shame you can make some great deals on them but I'm not willing to take the chance of the major problems that could come with that deal.

change that could to would :D

those Navistar 6.0/6.4 motors were 100% POS

actually it was not the engine that was a POS it was something wrong with the cooling system. i cant remember exactly what though. it would cause the radiator to boil over and before you know it you only had half the coolant you need. because of this the engine would over heat and you would blow head gaskets.

the 6.4's biggest problem is radiators. they crack and break them like there going out of style.

if you fix the cooling problem on those two engines they are very good, so if you end up with one let me know because i can easily find the fix

From what I've heard and read I feel they were flawed designs by Navistar thrown together to fill an obligation to Ford and they screwed them. My neighbors 6.0 also had issues with the injectors and injector pump shortly after they drove off the lot. They replaced the injectors twice and then the pump failed  On a positive note for Ford is it looks like they hit a homerun with their own design and new 6.7 mill :) Whats your Dad got in his?

Consumer complaints about Ford F-250/F-350 Pickup

my dads got the monster 7.3. chip. 5inch exhaus, and a BD diesel torque converter and we pull the 30foot toy hauler camper loaded with bikes and fuel and water easily in over drive haha shouldnt but he does :hillbilly:

A big BIG problem with the 6.oh is the EGR cooler, Followed very shorly there after by if I am not mistaken them only having 4 head bolts per cylinder. folowed by me going to bed and not finishing this stateme

yeah! hit the nail on the head! i could not remember what that was called ahaha.

After test driving Ryan's 08 Mega Cab and trying to work the a deal on his trade last week I was hooked on the 08 Mega Cab. I did drive a 08 Duramax trying to keep an open mind but the Mega Cab ruined that for me so I focused my search on just 08 Mega Cabs. Ryan was good enough to try and work a courtesy trade with his purchase of the 2011 Mega Cab he was trading his 08 in on but Courtesy Cadillac insulted me on his trade. With more mileage than what I was looking for Acadiana Dodge took a 08 Mega Cab in on trade today with 80,000 so I dropped by to look it over an hear what they had to say. They met everything I asked from them and sold it to me under what I wanted to spend so we did the deal. Just in time another couple showed up an hour after to look at it. Seems the Mega Cab is hot property right now. I was working with two dealers in Houston and Beaumont so I was glad to find a deal locally. Another white tow rig, I did the dirty testing the 4WD :D

I didn't get to talk to him but I will ask for him tomorrow to give him a card. Adrien showed up driving one of his 40's with AC and the Salesman took me in the garage to show me his 40's, the yellow one that didn't sell a while back he changed his mind and put some more money and goodies on it. They were putting a new transfer-case in it and doing some tune-up in preparation for hunting season. His mechanic Mike said he tried a well equipped 08 Jeep Rubicon for one hunting season came back after the season and put it for sale and took back the yellow 40

Sorry for the crappy phone pics

Thanks for the links Albert I had a few things I wanted to talk over with you next time I see you and any help and advice is always welcome. They're putting new pads on it tomorrow it had the case of the squeaks but also want to make sure it doesn't need anything before the SCC trip and its up to speed on the service. Maybe you can look it over with me in the near future I'd sure appreciate it. :)

Congrats, on the Mega Cab.

If all you Dodge owners make a trip, we know we can get at least one back with all those parts. :flipoff2: Just some Duramax humor.:p

 thanks John, that's certainly true or if you look at it the other way we have enough Dodge's to pull the Duramax home if needed ;) &
Scott is looking to throw a Ford in the mix sooner than later last we talked.

On a side note I just found out this week my brother's brother-in-law has a 3 car hauler for his business. I'm gonna have to check that out :)

Its all good bud, looked at the MegaCabs while shopping, but of course money was a key part of the purchase.
That trailer would be cool to get a hold of, I'll take a spot for Moab if other members don't.
