I'm in the process of upgrading my stock torsion bars and the back of the torsion bar is rusted stuck into the anchor. I've tried pb blaster and torching it and I cant get it out to save my life. I've been tempted to cut the torsion bar but I think it would then be even harder to remove from the bracket. Any ideas guys? Been hammering and blasting for hours now lol.

Gotta use heat, and if necessary cut out the TB and bring it outside and whack it with a hammer to knock it loose. I had to do that on a really rusty truck before

if you need to cut it out I have replacements from part outs.

Honestly I would be so grateful if so. I would love to buy the anchor arms from you if you still have them. My Torsion bars are so stuck in the anchor arms I'm having hell with it. I did end up cutting the bars out.

Well I guess it's probably too late now that you've cut them, but I'd try an air hammer

Thanks for the suggestion! It may still help with the remaining TB section that is stuck in the anchors. I'll see if I can get a hold of one and try that out tomorrow.

+1 on BFH (And a 3rd hand also helps a lot).. Mine was rusted solid as well, and it took a good hour of hammering it with a 4-5 pound hammer till it finally came loose. The front anchors on the other hand (unlike the rears, these are not capped, and can corrode from both sides).. Phew, that was a nightmare to get the TB's out from & would just buy new ones if I did it again. I torched them, hammered the life out of them, deformed them, my ears were ringing when they've finally gave way. Well one was better, the other was the really problematic one.
